Mandate
In consistence with the provisions of the Administrative Code of 1987 and RA 7160 (Local Government Code), the DSWD is hereby mandate to provide assistance to government units, non-government organizations (NGOs), other members of civil society in effectively implementing programs, projects, and services that will alleviate poverty and empower disadvantaged individuals, families, and communities for an improved quality of life.
It is, therefore, the role of the Social Welfare and Development Office to directly implement the programs and services concerning the welfare of its constituents under the guidelines, supervision, and monitoring of DSWD, SWDO must work in line with the mission vision and objectives of DSWD.
Vision
Ang makatulong sa pag unlad ng mga mahihirap, mga lantad sa panganib at may mga kapansanan na individual, pamilya at komunidad.
Mission
Ang makapagbigay ng kaukulang proteksyon sa lipunan upang itaguyod ang karapatan at kapakanan ng mahihirap at mga nasa panganib na indibidwal, pamilya at komunidad at maiahon sila sa hirap sa pamamagitan ng mga programa at patakaran at proyekto.
