Agriculture continues to flourish in the Municipality of Calaca since no sector gets left behind when it comes to Mayor Nas Ona. The NASA SIPAG program supports Calaqueño farmers and fishermen to spur economic growth and improve their livelihood.
One of the activities launched by the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist under the NASA SIPAG program is the One Barangay, One Product. In this project, each barangay receives seeds or seedlings that are considered appropriate for their climate and type of land. One Barangay, One Product aims to promote the barangays through the crops assigned to them. The residents of the barangay may also gain additional income through selling their harvests or they may use it for their consumption.
Fishing supplies are distributed as well among the fisher folks in Calaca. These materials are would help them in their everyday
A large portion of Calaca is composed of agricultural land, hence, most of its residents depend on agriculture to put food on the table. Tractors are lent to farmers to help them plow their lands more efficiently.
