Tulong sa Tumulong
January 12, 2020 – the Taal Volcano had a phreatic explosion that affected the lives of many Batangueños. As a response to this calamity, Calaca housed a total of 5,370 evacuees. Various evacuation centers were opened and some Calaqueño families provided shelter for their fellow Batangueños.
NASA KANLUNGAN was launched in honor of the residents who wholeheartedly accepted the evacuees and cared for them. Mayor Nas Ona expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation towards the kindhearted Calaqueños by providing them financial support.
